First Dog Show

Today Waverley was entered in her first dog show. It was only a sanction match which means she didn't get any points towards her championship. However, we had a lot of fun and she ended up winning Best of Breed, Best Puppy in Group and Group 1st.

4 months old

Waverley is now 4 months old and growing like a weed. She has finally caught on to the houstraining thing (not one of her finer skills previously). We has completed puppy kindergarten classes and I am now taking handling classes with her (for conformation).

Monroe's recall

Yesterday I dropped Monroe off for formal training. She is just over 9 months old so I hope she does ok. Unfortuantely there has been a shortage of older puppies, so everyone has been getting recalled earlier than hoped.

Monroe had a month to show Waverley the ropes though before she left. We will all miss her!

The weather has been consistantly nice the past few weeks so I've been getting the dogs out on thr trails regularly.

New Puppy

Last week I went to pick up my new puppy, Waverley, from the airport. This has been a long time coming, and I have been researching breeders since the winter. As much as I love fostering, I felt it was time to get a puppy of my own. After 13 puppies, I wanted to be able to raise one I didn't have to give back. I narrowed down my options and ended up with a female Dalmatian puppy from Black Diamond kennels in Oregon. She is an amazing puppy and I am looking forward to a loooong and happy life with her. :)
